Jersey City PARENTS:

1. It was a very good program for AIDS prevention and abstinence.  Abstinence is best for teenagers because it builds self esteem and confidence.  What I loved most was the sincerity and honesty.
2. Excellent!  Everything was great!  This way our children will avoid getting these STDs.
3. I like the openness, frankness and the manner in which the program is presented.
4. I am confident this program helps to teach children how to reach their goals in life—the lesser the problems the better. 
5. I think abstinence should be taught in school.  Abstinence is the key to getting children involved in themselves rather than trying to please others.  I liked that the information is real and is about what is actually occurring in today’s society.
6. This program taught us grownups a lot of information not previously known.

1. The students especially liked the enthusiasm of the presenter.  The examples used were humorous as well as real to life.
2. I liked that the program initiates a dialog with the students.  It brought up real issues that the students are either facing or will face.
3. It was excellent.  The students appreciated the presenter’s frankness.  The realistic approach was excellent-there really was not anything I would have changed.

Dear Mrs. Linda,
I like what you taught me about sex, STDs and AIDS, and I think it's a great experience for teenagers.  I learned that having sex is a big responsibility.  I would like you to come back again.  I learned that being abstinent is one of the best ways to achieve your goals.  If you really care about yourself, you will wait until you are married.

PS# 15 - 7th grade Males

1. I liked everything really because of the down-to-earth talking and role-playing was best.  Learning about STDs, AIDS, how my family and I can have a goodrelationship, taking care of my family and my body
2. I like the way she let us act out the role-playing.  I learned that no relationship is just all about sex and by itself won’t help your marriage.  Only love and respect will help your marriage.

PS#15 - 7th grade females

1. I enjoyed it very much.  I think that we should have more meetings like this because if we have been having these meetings, no one would have had sex, abortions or anything else.  I really enjoyed this program.  Very good meeting
2. I liked that we could have someone who cared enough to talk to us about sex before we ruin our lives by getting a diseases or having a child and not being able to complete our dreams.
3. I liked that Ms. Linda was keeping it real with us and that she told us so much about sex and that’s good because I now know what could happen to me if I lose my virginity. Also because she talked about relationships and things us girls go through everyday.  I’m glad she told us because I know that she might change the minds of many girls when they think about having sex and I hope she can come back again to talk to us.
4. I like the way she was honest with us.  She wasn’t afraid to talk to us about anything that involved sex.  We also learned a lot from this subject.  I know better now what to do in my future & that I should not loose my virginity at this age because it can affect what happens in my future.

1. I think this program was very educational because the answers and choices we make will affect how our future comes out to be.

PS#40 - 6th grade females
1.  I learned to stay away from drugs.  I learned to have sex when I get married only.  I also learned to only have sex with the person that I stay with forever.
2.  This showed me that I don’t have to have sex to prove myself.
3.  I think this program is really great because if it wasn’t for this program, I would have probably made a big mistake in the future.
